Maker Faire BCN 2018

Last 16th and 17th of June Barcelona welcomed the second edition of the Maker Faire BCN 2018, one of the most innovative and famous events about the maker movement. More than 10.000 people visited the Pavelló Itàlia in Montjuic, the expo area where the faire took place, demonstrating the roaring success of this event aiming to bring together passionate creators, visionary inventors, local and international makers, families, children, friends and curios people visiting Barcelona.

Maker Faire BCN filled the place with 120 makers, 25 live demos, 40 speakers and 25 workshops, all of them open and free to the public. Fab Lab Barcelona was a core part of this event and participated in this edition with recent and successful projects: RO.MI, DDMP, Smart citizen, Making Sense, Future Learning Unit & FabKids, Open Source Beehives, Fab Academy & Fabricademy, FabTextiles, Aquapioneers, Next Food and many more. The exhibition in Pavelló Itàlia was complemented with a lineup of leading experts in technology, digital, smart cities and the Maker culture giving conferences and Conversations at CaixaFòrum and our Speakers Corner.
