The fashion world is increasingly incorporating new research in structures and new materials to expand its field of work and experimentation. This application of technology and digital fabrication to traditional manufacturing and industrial techniques are changing the ways of producing and designing clothing.
FAB TEXTILES
The Fab Textiles project is opened to anyone interested in the world of fashion, open-source, wearables and custom creations. Fab Textiles centers its research activities in the field of digital fashion, focusing on new processes, materials and production techniques.
During the course of this workshop, participants will learn new tools to design and develop their own clothes and accessories. To achieve that, participants will use the following techniques:
-laser cutter
-3D printer
-digital embroidery
-other resources available in the Fab Lab.
Materials for fabrication are included.
Participants are invited to use their own computers.
